Our Classrooms are organized in a manner to facilitate learning in children. All items and materials such as toys, blocks, books etc are easily accessible to the children visually and physically. All the bins are labelled with words and pictures to assist children. Our curriculum recognizes that children have different learning styles and that they actually learn as much or more from running as from learning to pronounce a letter sound. We will provide outside time and free exploration daily, and we will support the varied learning styles – visual, auditory, sensory, verbal, etc
Our Infant program is specialized for babies from 3 months – 18 months and follows a ratio of 1:3.
The Infant Program is for children up to 18 months, and operates with a maximum of three infants to one qualified teacher. We work closely with parents to structure the development and dietary plans suited to each child’s specific needs.
The sleeping centre of the classroom provides a comfortable, separate and quiet area to keep each child on their usual routines and ensures children are happy throughout the day and as they are reunited with parents.
Healthy meals and snacks are provided for infants catered to their specific needs. However, formula and/or breast milk can be provided by the parents.
Our infant program space is over 800 square feet for just 9 infants, providing ample space for your little ones to learn, play and rest.
The Infant Program staff are nurturing and have a love and dedication for this age group. They are early childhood educators and assistants with a strong knowledge of child development. They are patient, kind and are adored by both children and the parents at the Centre.
Our staff interact with your infants in a loving and caring manner as they build on each child’s self-esteem and gross motor skill development. They even teach infants to learn sign language!
As teachers get to know each child’s individual interests, they are placed into smaller groups for learning and play. This is a time for teachers to really focus on their group of children. The infants may play a game with the teacher, create patterns together, explore a new sensory activity, or learn sign language. It is a great opportunity for a teacher to interact with a smaller group of children and teach them new things on a more personalized level.

Little Feet Big Dreams offers planned outdoor activities. Children are taken outside for an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon. Travelling outside in their triple strollers, the infants may explore the local footpath on a walk or play in our fenced playground.
In the event that the weather does not permit outside activities, the Centre also boasts a full sized gym with various activities and equipment for infant play. Our Centre is equipped with lots of toys, games and activities dedicated to indoor gym time. When the weather is a little unfriendly, we ensure your children still have access to a large play area to get in their morning and/or afternoon exercise.

Our first and most important goal with emergent curriculum is to inspire delight, curiosity, and inquiry in the classroom. Doing so has been proven to build intrinsic motivation (coming from within the child) and a long-term love of learning. These are the greatest gifts our Educators give a child in preparation for their primary school experience. Our Educators help to develop preschooler’s budding interests and skills that will last a lifetime. Our Children are introduced to various academic subjects through lively participation such as science projects, literary activities, dramatic play, and daily read-alouds.

When we started to explore daycare for our son we were nervous about where we would go. Our main concerns were that he felt safe, had fun and learned along the way. Little Feet Big dreams has far exceeded our expectations. Fast forward three years we have two boys at LFBD. Our experience has been amazing. I can hardly put it into words but I will try. The staff are excellent, they do creative activities all the time and are nourished physically, mentally and emotionally. I love to see our kids excitedly run into LFBD, it warms my heart.
We are so thankful for our time spent with Little Feet Big dreams and are forever grateful for how you have cared for, nourished and taught our boys in their early years. I would highly recommend Little Feet Big Dreams.
Little feet big dreams is a wonderful day care. All 3 of my children have attended there and they loved it. Teachers are fun, caring, loving, friendly and outgoing. There were days it was a work out to get my kids to come home. I recommend Little Feet Big dreams childcare.
My daughter has been attending the LFBD Centre since she was in the infant class at one year old. It was the wonderful and engaging staff that drew us to choose LFBD. The Centre Supervisor and all of the teachers have been super communicative and helpful during all transitions for our daughter, she absolutely loves going and drop off is never an issue.
